In my doctoral thesis, I have examined the patterns of surplus generation and capital accumulation across peasant classes in the context of the fairly prolonged stagnation in Indian agriculture and the larger agrarian crisis.
I am currently teaching at the Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) in New Delhi, India. My main areas of research are agrarian transition, peasant classes, food security, bio-fuels and poverty. I have earlier taught at the Centre for Development Studies in Trivandrum, India in 2008-9.
